Conscious Movement Therapy is a self empowering healing process to help you let go of holding patterns in the emotional and physical body, giving you insight on how to cope and overcome obstacles. Conscious Movement Therapy (CMT) is about getting to the roots of our core beliefs and needs, exercising our emotional and psychological strengths. Learn how to untangle negative programs of the subconscious mind, release old unexpressed emotions, repressions, negative beliefs and stored memories. Together we integrate tools to release all the ways that we keep ourselves disconnected, from our bodies, from each other and from the earth. CMT is a centering approach to transforming physical, emotional and energetic blockages in a way that is empowering and satisfying.
We can unconsciously hold onto a lifetime of pain, resentment, and memories, that have caused us suffering. When we suppress our pain, we also suppress our joy and our ability to stay open to give and feel love. We also hold within us a very strong capacity to heal, rebuild, recover, and renew. We can transform tightness to lightness, and sorrows into sweetness. Sometimes we need someone to believe in us when we don’t believe in ourselves. We need our hand held in a place of LOVE and with COMPASSION as we dissolve our inner walls and purge emotional constipation and emotional hoarding.

WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM A CMT SESSION?
Anyone who wants to feel more comfortable, confident and safe in their own skin. Anyone that wants to let go of issues and beliefs that are no longer serving them. Anyone that has experienced, loss, pain, trauma, sadness, feelings of unworthiness and low self esteem, sexual abuse, verbal abuse, weight issues, anxiety and addiction.
HOW LONG ARE THE SESSIONS?
Sessions are 90-120 min long. It is best to have time to yourself after the session for reflection and relaxation. Spend time outside in nature in a calm environment. We recommend that you not schedule anything for a few hours after your session.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Once you arrive a description of the treatment modalities will be explained to you. The treatment room is dimly lit. A Thai massage bed is used for the body with pillows to support the limbs. You are taken through a guided meditation and breathing exercises to relax the body. The core of the session involves, Thai massage with pressure point stimulation, rocking and tapping techniques combine with some dialogue.

I recommend doing three sessions to get the most benefit from this work. Leave a day or two between each session.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Loose fitting Thai pants and a t-shirt will be provided for you. You are also fine to bring your own. Hair down and no jewellery.
WHAT TO DO BEFORE AND AFTER THE SESSION
It is best not to eat at least an hour before the session. I aslo recommend not drinking alcohol before or after your treatment.
